Earl Rubin,  MD
Director, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Medical Microbiologist, The Montreal Children's Hospital, MUHC

Dr. Rubin is a Clinical Microbiologist; a consultant in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, as well as an attending physician in General Pediatrics at the Montreal Children’s Hospital (MCH). He is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Laboratory Medicine, Division of Microbiology at the MUHC. He is the Director of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, as well as the Section Head for Medical Bacteriology for the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).

In addition, previously he served as the Program Director of McGill University’s Pediatric Infectious Residency Program at the MCH for 23 years (1995-2018), as well as the Medical Education coordinator for Pediatrics for the McGill family medicine residents (1996-2010). Dr. Rubin earned his Medical degree from McGill University. He conducted his residency training in Pediatrics at the MCH and did fellowships in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology at McGill University and Hôpital Sainte-Justine/Université de Montréal. He is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in three specialities: Pediatrics (1991), Pediatric Infectious Diseases (1992), and Medical Microbiology (1993).

Barry Slapcoff,  MDCM, CCFP
Assistant Professor, Department of Family Medicine, McGill University Health Centre (MUHC)

Dr. Slapcoff is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at McGill University in the Department of Family Medicine. He has a private practice in Westmount and teaches at St. Mary’s Hospital. Dr. Slapcoff has an interest in undergraduate education and has been the director of a course at McGill titled Physician Apprenticeship.

John Yaremko,  MD, FRCP
Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, The Montreal Children's Hospital, MUHC

A general pediatrician at The Montreal Children's Hospital as well as having a community pediatric practice, Dr. Yaremko has been a coordinator for the Practical Problems in Pediatrics course for many years. He has also been director of numerous Pediatric CME events, including the McGill Pediatric Asthma Update Course, the Immunization Update for the Clinician Course, and Gastroenterology and Nutrition Update for the Clinician Course. He also works in the Emergency Department at The Montreal Children's Hospital and teaches the family medicine residents at St. Mary's Hospital in Montréal.
